Social Media Coordinator

First Baptist Dallas Church, located in Downtown Dallas, is looking for a Social Media Coordinator. This individual is responsible for planning, creating, and executing content
for all social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Tumblr, etc.) for various ministries of First Baptist Dallas including Day One and for Pathway to Victory.
This individual will also develop Social Media strategies and work hand in hand with other staff to promote church related information online.

Candidates must also have the capacity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced and evolving environment and be readily assessable throughout the day to continually address any Social Media concerns and manage an online presence.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics
• Plan social media campaigns in advance using applicable systems
• Research audience preferences and discover current trends
• Create engaging text, image and video content
• Focus on converting Social Media followers to on-campus visits
• Measure web traffic and monitor SEO
• Stay up-to-date with changes in all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness
• Monitor and respond to comments as appropriate
• Report on performance metrics and sentiment
• Oversee social media accounts’ layout and keep updated
• Suggest new ways to attract prospects
• Provide staff with social media guidance and encourage sharing of posts
• Other duties as assigned by Director of Communications
Qualifications:
• Must have a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism or equivalent
• Candidates must have 2 – 3 years of prior Social Media employment experience
• 2 – 3 years of Advertising/Marketing agency experience, video editing experience a plus

Software & Applications Used:
• Social Media Platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram Tumblr, Pinterest, etc.)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; Adobe Acrobat; Dropbox
• Prior experience with SmartSheet; Percolate; Creative Cloud
• Must also be comfortable with digital platforms, iOS platform preferred
